Although having the red coins all over the world in hidden/dangerous places could be a little tedious, I love the concept itself : it's a nice bonus challenge.
Lot of blue stars here too ; I hope that some of them will not be in the final game or that they will be given a new twist at least (like the Metal Cap one) Probably too early again to judge, but these are my suggestions.
Finally, I support the SMB2 idea! Great work all around.

Lol, the blue stars mean that I've already collected them. :/ I used a file that already had 87 stars before the hack.

Last song was in Brawl and Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, and it is Battle For Storm Hill, or something like that.
