Dissidia Final Fantasy Cloud Climhazzard Combo

This video is a request showing Cloud's Climhazzard - Slash Blow combo. It has helped me turn the tide of battle quite a few times when I play among my friends. This is a true combo if Slash Blow hits after the dodge during the Climhazzard animation.

The timing might be a little tricky at first, but once you grasp it it's pretty easy. Even works for tiny characters like Shantotto or Onion Knight.

The opponent is a lvl 105, difficulty 9/9, behaviour 9/9, random AI character. So happened he turned out to be Squall.

I used to think Climhazzard sucked, but after I read about this combo I felt that it opened up at least one more option for Cloud.

Climhazzard innately cuts through magic and some brave attacks. Despite the slow start-up, it closes the distance fairly quickly, and is a great counter skill in my opinion. With this combo, now Cloud can link a BP move to another BP move, which can then be followed up by a HP move.

In essence, it gives the option of a BP - BP - BP/HP, and since Slash Blow by itself is kind of hard to connect, linking it from Climhazzard does give it a bit more versatility.Unfortunately, this only works on the ground.

Finally, in case you were wondering, Climhazzard will hit if Cloud ground dodges out of most HP attacks and some brave attacks even though its start up is a little slow. I tend to just try my luck with Climhazzard if I see a ground brave attack coming since the worst case is we just each get pushed back.

Any comments on the video or on how to improve Cloud's gameplay is greatly appreciated.

i don't understand how you recover so quickly, i tried this combo but everytime I break off of climhazzard and try an aerial attack its too slow. im lvl 30, is it because im supposed to master my abilities first?

Actually no need for speed boost ++. Trick is to delay the 2nd hit of climhazzard (the upward thrust) and then dodge once cloud reaches the peak of his jump. Mash on the command for slashing blow and viola... combo's done! =-)

The 'cooldown' in between moves of climhazzard has increased meaning you cannot dodge cancel climhazzard to slashing blow... BUT you can do a 'time cancel' to link slashing blow after climhazzard. Very strict timing. See my other uploads for a vid of it =-)

It's strange how Clouds Limit Break Set 2 are brave attacks, all his other limit break are Hp attacks.

normally the last hit from slash blow should do over 1k :/

@fridgemaster123 thx for point out, but i don't think it's even called climhazzard combo now though. Since it's executed very differently.
