this might seem like a silly question, but while i understand which settings to set the camera to, i dont understand how you are incorporating the light? is it a laser pointer or something like that?
@lestercute112 use a low ISO (100) and put it on shutter priority and change your shutter speed to anything over 15 seconds really .... that should be long enough guaranteed you have a Very dark room. :)
