ON FIRE! 2 drummers to replace Cyrille! Andrew Cyrille could of done this by himself. Lyons, smokin hot. GREAT. I saw Cecil at the 5-Spot in 75, they would come out and do this for 2 hours, take a break, and come out & smoke for another 2 hours straight. PURE ENERGY, & SOUL! The high light was when Lester Bowie came & sat in. Oh that was a night!!

Talk about pure genius & madness, this is awesome! I was surprised to read about Cecil in the latest Downbeat™ . It's done quite well (love Howard Mandel's expression) but the article didn't include ANYTHING about the great Jimmy Lyons!?
I say WTF?
