The five stroke roll is a powerful rudiment based off the double stroke roll. Unlike the single, double, and triple stroke rolls may suggest - this rudiment does not have alternating groups of five strokes per hand. Instead, it is made up of two double strokes, and a single. You first play it with right hand lead, and then repeat the pattern with left hand lead.

  • @jltheriot The drums sound that good is all mic and mixer....YOu don't need to get a good head to sound like that.... get a good mic and a mixer then your drum will sound like that...

    You cant leave 1 1/4 note break between any of your rolls. 5 strokes alternate.

    eg 1234512345. NOW YOU HAVE A 5 STROKE ROLL.
