This video shows gameplay for about 20 PS2 online games in about 20 minutes. I've been recording footage of Playstation 2 online matches that I've played in for the last 2 or 3 years and recently decided to stick a bunch of small clips from each game together. Hopefully this will let people get an idea of the online experiences that are still possible to this day on the 11 year old Playstation 2 console. I managed to capture footage of 21 ps2 online games for this video, but there are tons more that are still online or that can be LAN tunneled that I have yet to record, or in some cases have yet to even play.
All the games shown in this video are playable online in some fashion in North America as of August 2011. Some of the games shown still have their original servers up, while others have their servers offline. Some of the games in the video have LAN modes which lets them be played online through LAN tunneling programs like Xlink Kai even though the online servers for a game may be down. This is because the program uses a games LAN mode to trick the game into thinking players across the world are playing on its Local Area Network. @ELIKERCASILLAS181 That game, Jak X Combat Racing, lets you have bots in races when you dont have a full game of human players. Think there were 3 or 4 human players in that race, so a few bots were in it to fill up the open slots.

@undisputed4life Well the most active ps2 online games that still have their servers up are the call of duty games, Star Wars Battlefront 2, and the Socom games. Those are games that you can normally find random people on whenever you try playing.

@JeremyKlown They are both still online, at least in north america. Although the patch for swbf1 can no longer be downloaded which can mean you cannot join people with the patch I believe. Also, both games have LAN.
