Daath Frontman Audition: EricTheReDD rocks Cosmic Forge

This is my video audition for consideration to be the new frontman for the hella-sick metal band DAATH!

My name is EricTheReDD. I'm 23. I live in Johnson, Vermont. Yes, Vermont is a state. I have two bands of my own but neither one are signed with RoadRunner Records!

I'm a classically-trained vocalist who's a huge metal fan. My primary influences are Freddie Mercury and Brian May of Queen, Billy Corgan and The Smashing Pumpkins, Chris Cornell and Soundgarden.

My current 15 minutes of fame is Episode 9 of the MTV show "Your Friend, Andrew W.K." in which AWK came to my house and gave me the motivation to follow through with my dreams of being a rockstar!

Heh I think this is the first time I have ever posted a comment on youtube but I feel as if I actually have reason to post now. I have been going through listening to some of the vocal tracks that people have been putting up to become the new singer of Daath and I know it does not mean much but you are one of the best I heard. I would be rather happy if you were to get picked as the new lead singer.

No offence really, but if you want to become a pro vocalist then you'll need to improve. For a start, I think that you should show more emotion and "feel" in your singing efforts, especially in this perticular style of Metal.

The positive thing you may look upon is that the drummer of your band is totally sick!!

By the way, I watched that episode with Andrew W.K, and it was cool. As someone who actually met the guy, do you think that all these conspiracy rumours about Andrew are true?

it seems a few of the auditioners have gotten this .. to be honest im starting to think its actually one of the other daath audioners doing this to raz the competition. which is fairly immature lol. but hey overall its a nice style, just i think theyd want to keep a growler in the front. though still nice audition ^^
