In this lesson video for Episode 02 we look at some of the common mistakes that Spanish speakers make when using English.
"Agree" is a verb in English but not in Spanish. That's why Spanish speakers sometimes make the mistake of saying, "I'm agree" instead of "I agree".
"Realize" is a false friend. A false friend is a word that is the same or very similar to a Spanish word but does not have the same meaning. Other examples of false friends are sensible, actually and hardly. "Realize" means to understand, believe, be aware or conscious of. It does not refer to an action.
"What" is used to ask questions. "What" is used in exclamations. But here I used it to say "the thing that".
When referring to the immediate past or immediate future we use "next" and "last" without the article.
