1984 chevy 1/2 ton with 3.9L cummins turbo diesel engine custom header, he341 turbo from 03 dodge truck, 1999 4L80E trans with custom converter 1000rpm stall lowered 3". Should get around 28mpg and will get used for daily driving, built for super cheap (around a couple grand)
Nice!! Is this engine shorter than the 5.9 Cummins. I mean from oil pan to valve cover not front to back. From what I have heard, one of the biggest problems with 5.9 swaps is that they are so tall, a body lift must usually be used, which I would like to avoid. Used 5.9's are actually a lot cheaper than the 3.9's, but I'd love to put a 3.9 in something that it would easily fit in, and have a 30mpg cruiser.

Wow 28 MPG, its better than my Dodge Ram 1500 2004 with my HEMI 5.7L, I get 20L/100km
its about huuu 12MPG aaaarg!!
I find a John Deere engine 4045 ( 4 cylinders 4.5L) and the next year ,I will swap to in my Dodge.

@MrJohnnyDistortion bread trucks, sad to say, is the most common place to find the engines, what I plan on doing, is buying a running, but wrecked bread truck from the insurance auto auctions for a swap, the website that has tons of the trucks is iaai.com, there is a butt load of bread trucks on that site

Nice! I like the Cummins diesel engines, especially the B-series (3.9L & 5.9L). Just a quick question. I know it's a little off-topic, but what kind of camera did you use? The video quality is superb and it seems to pick up the sound pretty well.

Do you have a lead on that 1000rpm stall converter?
I have 6bt with 4l80E behind it and the stock big block converter is a little loose for Cummins.
