The Vines are an Australian alternative rock band originally formed as Rishikesh in 1994 in Sydney. They play a musical hybrid of 1960s garage rock and 1990s alternative music. Since 2006 their line-up has consisted of vocalist and lead guitarist Craig Nicholls, rhythm guitarist Ryan Griffiths, bass guitarist Brad Heald, and drummer Hamish Rosser.
Future Primitive is the fifth studio album by The Vines. By 20 June 2011 the album had only sold 1655 units in Australia.
The majority of the album was recorded at Studios 301, Sydney during February and March 2010 with producer Chris Colonna of Bumblebeez. Additional recording and production touch ups occurred throughout the proceeding year (2010-early 2011) whilst the band shopped the album to potential record labels, as they were without a label at the time, Having financed the recording sessions themselves. The band signed to Sony Music Australia for the release.
I heard that they were gonna compile a new album, one that features the songs that didnt make it into the future primitive album, is it true?
