Juan Fernando Martìnez Pilides., los tallos de las pitahayas rojas (Hylocereus Spp), tienen su aristas de forma cóncava y los tallos de las especies de Pitahaya Amarilla (Selenicereus Spp.) tienen sus arista de forma convexa. Es una característica morfológica muy importante para la identificación de la distribución de los géneros de estas Cactáceas tropicales. JFMP. OK. Colombia.
