i made this on my summer friday- a 10 hr shoot.
For the production junkies:
no storyboards, no lighting kit, loose story format, choreographed on the fly. I just got my actor friend Joe, and Jon Truei and his stunt team and made it all up as we went along.
used 1 wide angle, 1 fish eye lens.
Editing and vfx are my own doing- roughly 30hrs spent in total with a self-enforced time limit.
Workflow: Filmed on a Canon hv30 at 24p using the exposure lock trick. Captured with HDV Split .77 beta and removed the 30fps wrapper using the After Effects technique. 1 hr of HDV footage uncompressed to 350 GB! I rendered down to a 640x352 working size. Did the edit in Adobe Premiere Pro and the vfx/color correction in After Effects. Both were CS3 and on Windows XP.
Digital assets from videocopilot.net and detonation films were used. Audio assets were from shockwave-sound.com and soundrangers.com.
Cheers to Jon Truei and the stunt team, and Joe. If you're in the Tri-state area and want to shoot, these are a great bunch.

Pretty impressive, I must say! Perhaps the blood would've worked better as a practical effect (in lieu of CG), but overall, your miniature flick is just the inspiration I need to film a short fight scene. Great work, man.
