My second shot at this one, by popular demand.

Admittedly it isn't of much better sound quality than my previous attempt. Louder guitar, but more muffled, drowned out vocals. I'm still having webcam issues. Ah well.

You should record this, get it pressed on vinyl and make a million bucks! You have a great voice and can play beautifully and I want to hear this on the radio instead of Britney Spears, so do as I say, or else.

Probably am using a capo, but I don't remember which fret.. Just experiment until the key matches up.

You worry about muffled drowned out vocals, but they add atmosphere. That, coupled with the muffled drowned out film quality, add up to an honest grainy splendour.

Its a nice version pretty similar to the Nouvelle Vague version though which is, in my opinion, the best track on their cover album.

yeah it seems counterintuitive, but you want to have it set to mono, either on the interface or within the editing program. In audacity, I end up with a stereo track but with only one channel having sound. I "split stereo track", and then delete the one with no sound and switch the other one to mono.

I'm not sure if your program is that way but it should have some equivalent. Good luck!
