@joyusjabba Does it really matter????

Didnt realise that the Red cross and st Johns ambulance are in competition... Both want the same thing and that is to save lives...
-
@collie125 Not in Cork, RC cover just about everything :P Plus our kit is far newer :)
-
Irish Red Cross, whoop whoop :) My branch currently have two ambulances, a 4x4 ambulance, and another transport vehicle. Hopefully, we'll be getting another 4x4, a long wheel base Defender.

In my opinion SJA and BRC have to separate rolls
SJA provide the event cover, ETS, PTS and other first aid.
While BRC should carry on with their support work with the fire service etc.
Both doing what we do best

I preffer St John Ambulance I happen to say it cuz im a cadet

Curry lol

I hate to say it, but BRC have saved our asses at sja while we were on a duty and we needed an ambulance. BRC was also on the same duty. Even though BRC's ambulances are crap, and they've copied our renault.
-
we have the crusader NC 607 and its fab we use it on ruby duties its fast aswell on the road
-
FYI The Crusader that BRC have on the IoW is a front line Ambulance, they do have insurance (have done since it arrived) for emergency response work, it is only used by Ambulance Crews, Although if Ambulance Crews are tasked for a FA event needing a vehicle we will use it as it gives safe storage of the drugs we carry.
Good old KB 101 (31 secs) really robust and can get it anywhere. Just ashame theres feck all space in the back!

@simon1995sja true we know have one of the red cross crusaders on the isle of wight but they cant use it as a ambulance but only as a mobile first aid post because they dont have the qualified staff.
