In conjunction with the successful EcoWarriors 3rd tree planting day at the North Selangor Peat Swamp Forest on 21st March 2009 a photo competition was held. There were 4 categories that entrants could submit their photos for:
EcoPeople - Candid shots of EcoWarriors in action
EcoLife - Nature photos of life in the swamp forest ecosystem
EcoStyle - Photos highlighting the best outfit worn by attendees
EcoLaugh - Funniest photo of the day
We had a total of 67 photo entries from 11 different entrants (including one unnamed submission!) so thank you to everyone for their participation and enthusiasm.
The results were judged on capturing the theme and atmosphere of the event rather than on pure technical photographic technique so this leveled the field a little bit given the variety of cameras being used and the variety of photography experience.
