  • Oh my god i also took lesson from earl back in the 90's and then i went into the military and lost touch but luckily i recorded several of our lessons which i still have. I wondered what happened to him i never got to see him perform live but he was a very down to earth intelligent musician and he will be missed.

  • My gosh! Just for the heck of it, I googled Earl to see what I could find. I too took

lessons from him over at Century Music back in the day. I played bass back then,

but I took everything I learned from him and latter applied it to guitar. It breaks my heart to know that he's gone. You are soooo missed, Earl.

  • OMG! Earl was my guitar teacher too. What happened?? Can anyone give me some information. He was so talented.

  • me.

  • no, never heard of him. last i had heard Earl was working at H&H on Bandera road with Ron Jarzombek.

  • chorniangel: Did you also take guitar lessons from John Grell? John taught at a guitar store on San Pedro near Basse Rd. before it closed. I think it was called Music Makers.

  • What happened to Earl? I knew him back in the 90's. Cool dude, sorry to hear he passed.

  • i remember this band well. Earl was my guitar instructor around this time. a wonderful guy who claimed the band was named because "I'm skinny and I mumble". he was an incredible talent.

  • who remembers "devilman" by this band?
