Fly the flag of freedom high...
Promotional piece on "Michael Collins- A Musical Drama", the new Irish musical, written and directed by Bryan Flynn.
An Epic Musical Drama, which vividly brings to life the events of the 1916 Rising, the War of Independence and the Irish Civil War.
Subject: FLYING THE FLAG IN DUBLIN

'Michael Collins' previewed last Thursday 7th May at the Olympia Theatre Dublin and received a prolongued standing ovation from the appreciative audience. The official opening night on Friday 8th saw the same reaction and on Saturday last a packed Olympia Theatre again stood and cheered even before the final curtain. The reviews have been fantastic across the board (Ryan Tubridy's show called it 'a Resounding Success') and the box office is inundated. There are 12 more performances at the Olympia (closing on Sat May 23rd). The show will be back at Cork Opera House for a 10 night run from July 23rd.

  • Where might I be able to find this cast recording?

  • @CKSmith425

Thanks for your interest. The funds dried up when the recession came along. The best I can do is ask Bryan Flynn (writer/director) again and hope to have some good news for you soon... ;)

  • Excellent news. By cast recording do you mean a cd or dvd?

  • It'll be a CD Fink, and also available to download.

  • We are delighted to announce that an Irish national tour of 'MICHAEL COLLINS' will kick off next Spring...playing at 5 venues during February and March 2010. The show will be presented in Dublin, Waterford, Galway, Derry and Cork over a 6 week period. To coincide with this tour a cast recording will be produced in January 2010 and will be available both online and at the various venues nationwide. Details of venues, dates and the tour cast will be announced in the coming weeks...
