The media never, ever notes that religious conservatives' ongoing efforts to legislate the Bible are a violation of the Constitutionally-mandated separation of church and state. In general, journalists never criticize religion as such.

Harvey Milk (with Mayor Moscone) was assassinated, but it wasn't because of his pro-LGBT work. It was because stupid Dan White wanted to undo his resignation, and Harvey blocked that from happening.
What WAS due to Harvey's LGBT work was the fact that the Twinkie defense was actually allowed, and got Dan convicted of only manslaughter, for what was quite obviously a first-degree double murder.
Leno could use better textbooks.

@TheGunpowderTreason exactly, no one should ever think that we will not rest until we as citizens of this country & the world will have equal rights, representation & respect as does everyone on this planet.
if the damned "christian" right ever thinks we're going to back down because of their their ignorance, intolerance, bigotry & their need to hate, they are quite mistaken!
we will not rest until full equality is ours, regardless of how long it takes. mark my word, we will attain it!
