I'm Julianne Rowat with part 4 of low cost & free advertising. This one is about Squidoo Lens. Squidoo is a sharing site. They call their pages lens. With good content you can be shown on search engines. The better keywords you use, the better rankings you get, which is really important as the higher your rankings the more you'll be seen in the search engines. Squidoo is easy to set up. It just takes a couple seconds to join. Make sure you do a real good bio with a picture of yourself, because your bio is shown along side of every lens you create. You can also put all your external sites in your profile, that way people can click on them if they choose to. Your first lens should be all about you. They give you a text limit of 10K characters. I've found the easiest way to do my text is to first put it in microsoft word or whatever word document you use. That way you can spell check and copy & paste. If you want to catch peoples attention, add pictures. People like looking at pictures. You can even add a video if you want. You can add as many links as you want. Link to your blog, facebook, twitter, your business. That way people have an option to check out your links. Make sure you have your keyword in your title and about 4 times in your text in order for search engines to find you. Once your lens is done click on publish, then you can view what it looks like. Your lens can be about anything and everything, as long as it's interesting. The more lens you write, the more you get yourself known, the more traffic you get for your business.
