I never knew that, but that is awesome and makes sense. He used to wear shirts with kittens and puppies and 'cute' animal stuff because he wanted people to know making death metal doesn't mean you hurt animals or are some heartless maniac.
I also think thats why he tried to separate himself from that whole scene and he used to say "we are just metal" because people hear death metal and they freak out.
The best thing about animals is that they are genuine, no lies and games.

meaning of the song:
Chuck: This song is about animals. For me especially dogs and cats. They don´t know anything about the end of their lives, they are so free-minded. We may suspect when our life will end but animals don´t. They just live their lives, without questions, without analyzing their lives, they are just happy when they can see us. For me it´s all this very important, that they feel good and are happy.

Death is just too good. I remember being like 15 and listening to this in my classes while doing my work. Death improves my working efficiency haha

well i cant call this death.. id rather say its a more progressive version of thrash.. those new death metal bands are TRASH compared to this.. this song, this album is really epic although death is not my favorite band

Yeah, there is no reason to call someone an idiot over music preference. Some of the most interesting conversations I have had with people involve the explaining of why someone likes or dislikes a certain kind of music.
You cannot control what other people like and it makes you more of an idiot not being willing to accept that. You shouldn't judge someone because you disagree on something like music. Opinion has no right or wrong, just personal choice.

I don't understand why people get so prissy whenever someone dislikes Death. People have opinions, and everyone sees merit in music for different reasons. Just as everyone will not agree on what the best color is, everyone is going to disagree about the best type of music. You guys just look stupid when you post stuff like "Death is the best bands ever and anyone who disagrees is a fuckin' idiot. HAIL CHUCK!!!" Stop. Seriously, just stop. Death is great, but not everyone will see it that way.
