@michaelmike121 the relative performance differential is about the same, since the drivetrains are the same between B5 and B6 and M5 and M6, respectively, and the weight differentials are not meaningfully different between them. 0-100-0 challenge a year or so ago, a B6 was marginally quicker than an M6. Bottom line, below 100mph, a B6 is quicker than an M6, as a B5 is quicker than an M5, but not by much in either case. Above 100mph, the M-cars are slightly quicker than the Alpinas.

Can someone tell me very briefly what is this "Alpine" company, and what is B5. B7? is it an official division of BMW? I've never seen one of these cars in Canada....
