I have incorporated several of my amplifier designs into this pedal. It will not change the tone of your instrument, whereas most distortion pedals first lop off the bottom end, and then add a fake bass boost on the output. It allows the full frequency of your instrument to pass through it; this is why it sounds more like amp distortion. It is the Warmest, Smoothest Distortion you have ever heard.
Between the Heat, Hell and Master controls you can get any amp to come Alive!
The Freq switch allows the circuit to have two types of Frequency settings, One direction increases the High Frequencies and Cuts the Low Frequencies, The other direction extends the low end of the HellFire.
Then the Magic really happens.
We added our BitchBoost™ Circuit , which when engaged will push your distortion into New Territories of Awesomeness.
It is After the Distortion Circuit, which allows you to put the After Burners on, and produce a Tremendous FIRE.
Number one Lee Jackson fan here. I have an Ampeg VL-503 combo amp that I love.... but awhile back I had it serviced due to the bias circuit konking out on me. The Ampeg-certified amp tech replaced some parts and an i.c. and got it humming again but it just doesn't sound the same for some reason. I want to pull the amp out and send it to the master for re-jiggering. I saw the vid of you doing the Ampeg once. Maybe one of these days when I get ahead financially... Nice pedal, BTW!
