@ea297 u forgot sarcofago from brazil. They made there album one month after scream bloody and that album is a lot faster and harsher than deaths debut. Search up deaththrash from sarcofago and u will see what i mean

@KevinSucks69 No man. The first Death Metal band was Possessed with Seven Churches and the song Death Metal from that album named the genre (Not the band Death as they usually say). Then it camed Morbid Angel with their album Abominations Of Desolation from 1986. Then it came Death along with Obituary. Obituary made some demos back in 1986 and 1987 but did not release them until 1989. So basically they came like this: Possessed -> Morbid Angel -> Death and Obituary
