The old Gladstone family Victorian stable block and walled garden in Court Hey Park, Knowsley, filmed in 1996 prior to renovation and conversion into the National Wildflower Centre. (NWC) The stable block was a Quarantine Station in 1946. (See our web site's history section) Later on the walled garden was used by Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council as a nursery and the cobbled courtyard as a storage area. Phase one of the NWC began in 1997 and work on the new visitor building in 1999.
