Honesty alone isn't enough. Jimmy Carter was as honest as the day is long, but didn't make a very good president. If you don't consider the issues, and vote for the candidate who's likely to take the country in the direction it needs to go, we could end up with an honest fool in the White House.

That's why we have political parties---so people of similar views can work together to make a stronger political voice.

You could, except for the fact that McCain's political views are very different from Hillary Clinton's. If you're switching from a moderately liberal Democrat to a war hawk Republican, just because you don't like Obama, it doesn't sound as if you have very strong convictions.
