  • You must be rightly proud of your father's role in this parade. Splendid to watch.

  • Thanks very much for your comments.

  • Though the quality is not brilliant it is still nice to see clips from past troops and naturally you're proud of your fathers role in the parade and of his being a Guardsman and what's more one in the Corps of Drums as well!

Forgive me if I am wrong but as far as I able to determine he is a Grenadier Guardsman, yes?

  • He most certainly was and very proud of him i am and was, ive been to several troops, 2nd battalion guards, thanks for your comments.

  • How odd--the soldiers are armed with sub machine guns.

  • Were you alive to watch this?

    Very nice, btw.

  • Your Dad has bags of swagger and panache , a typical Grenadier .....

  • This is so cool! I'm sure you must be bursting with pride to see your dad on parade before The Queen. It's splendid that you have this!

  • You must be very proud of this. I remember watching it on TV in 1963 - I was particularly interested because I was a 'leading tipper' in my army cadet corps of drums and I wanted to learn the drummer's call. Odd to think it was your Dad who taught me it on TV. Best wishes and thanks for putting this n.

  • I served with your father in the 2nd Bn in Germany, Windsor Lydd etc. I remember him well, and his wife. He was a good man, you have every right to be proud.

  • I've got a question..how old was you father back then? Just curious ;)

  • Silly me, it's the Wellington quick march..I like the sound of it in this video more than from the other youtubevids...Kudos to your father and all other British soldiers from the past and present!

  • I like the march music at the beginning...I wonder if they'll play that tune sometime again..
