Obama's Iraq War Positions--The Facts

www.POLITIDOSE.com's Joseph Patrick offers commentary on Barack Obama and his changing positions on the Iraq War. Despite what the Obama campaign wants you to believe, the facts are facts. Obama's record and Clinton's record are as close to identical that you can get concerning the War. It is simply disingenuous for Obama to say anything else.

It's also important to note that the measure Obama now criticizes Clinton for, the supposed Iraq War vote, was described by Bush as:

""I have asked Congress to authorize the use of America's military, if it proves necessary, to ENFORCE U.N.Security Council demands. Approving this resolution does not mean that military action is imminent or unavoidable".

As can be seen, it was not a direct call for war, as Obama wants you to believe. Bush didn't say so, Congress didn't say so. The fact is Bush misused the power he was given.
