Sound Test on my Ibanez SV5470 of Metallica - Welcome Home (Sanitarium).

Played through a little Marshall MG15 Combo practise amp, audio is a mix of direct camera audio and A/D straight into computers sound card.

I will upload the first solo over the top of the backing track recorded in this video next.

  • I want to get this amp (mg15)! Would you say its worth the money? Is it loud enough?

    Great playing! THANKS!

  • @joelfromgermany Well it suits my purpose..... a practise amp, loud enough unless you are in a hall playing over a drum kit.... but I have mic'd it though a PA doing that.

  • Someway you remind me of Jason Statham :D Oh yeah good playing.

  • Thanks

  • english haha im still getting use to that 12 o clock so u can u tell meh like 8 gain or u kno

can i have the settings for both clean and distortion

  • Really depends on your Guitar & rig. I went for clean no EQ adjustment, set the volume, very little / no gain and with a bit of chorus and reverb. I would go for about 75% gain for the crunch parts not played in the clip with a bit of boost on the bass and treble EQ

  • I've got a MG15 DFX. Its the same as the mg15 just with 4 effects. I play emg pickups and the best clean sound I could get is bass and treble all the way up and contour or mid all the way down. It's a small speaker so it is very trebley. As far as it's distortion I had to get a pedal cause the amp dosent give that crunch down low. But with my digitech hardwire metal distortion I get the sound I want. Basically a James hetfield setup

  • am planing to buy the same model of yours how about the sustain of that model??

  • @l1ttleg1ant lol yeah for sure does look like it

  • because my Marshall JVM410H Half Stack (with1960A cab) wasn't set up in the computer room. I also have a Laney Twin 100 watt solid state stereo chorus, but that hasn't been plugged in for about 9 months. In fact I don't think I've ever played the Ibanez or ESP-KH2 though the Laney, might try that tonight :-)

  • nice playin...why are you using sucha good guitar with such a crap amp?haha
