This "laser loop" is capable of feeling when it is touched - instantly. There is no camera involved: the laser beam is simultaneously used for sensing and display. It is a variant of "scoreLight" and "Sticky Light" smaller sensing blob, evolved this time on an mbed microcontroller instead of an Arduino Mega.
These light beasts will be used in the Laserinne project (http://www.k2.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/perception/Laserinne/) among other projects.

  • This is amazing! I can't wait until you release your software and product and start selling units! Hopefully you actually planning on manufacturing these.
