@ozolayer , thanks for your help, i have changed the CMOS battery and it has sorted out the turning on automatically on charging & the date problem. the only problem remaining is the stuck key thing. it is not like the key is stuck virtually, but on screen it comes as ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
'''''''''''''''''''''' so i press any other key and this loop is broken, not sure if it is keyboard or any circuit as key is not stuck, and this happens mostly on startup. thanks for your comments

@terryyouth You've got three unrelated issues there, the first problem you need to clean your keyboard, if the key (spring inside) is broken then you'll have to buy a replacement. The bios issue your having sounds like corrupt version, update latest version, if you update and it still happens contact asus. The charger thing is a major problem, if turning ur charger on turns ur laptop on then there's either power surge in charger or faulty motherboard (bios problem could be caused by this..)

ok, hi, i have this notebook for over a year (so out of warranty) one key gets stuck and i have to hit an another key to get it out of it!!(got a wireless keybrd/mouse but promblem in on notebok keypad, Everytime i turn it on, the Bios screen comes up and I have to press F2 to continue and it goes into past to a date like 1997 or something like that at 0000hrs. I think recently if it is on charging, turning on the charger turns on the notebook. I use ti to connect to TV(is that a problem) thanks

For everyone having a problem getting the netbook to recognize the new RAM size turn off BOOT BOOSTER in the BIOS before you change any hardware components.
