The truth is stranger than fiction. And, there were actually several pairs of ruby slippers used for the movie , The Wizard of Oz. This is actually the final of a 5-part documentary. However, the entire finale to the film belongs to these final 3 minutes. And, since most of you morons have such a short attention span, I figured it could only hold your interest for 3 minutes. (please, pardon my French). But, it would be better to watch all 5 parts. But, I already know, you'll skip to the end. And, This clip IS the finale. It shows how many Ruby Slippers existed. and, exactly what happened to them..

why be a dick and say what you said in your paragraph about how we're morons? i am a very smart, educated woman. i have a degree and i read. i also loathe the general moron mentality to which you refer...so try not insulting the people watching your video...after all, if they're watching a video on something a cinematic and historic and cultural, then perhaps you could take down the bile and snarky tone just a little? chill out...and btw it's a nice video but the sound is AWFUL!

The book, THE RUBY SLIPPERS OF OZ by Rhys Thomas, claims that Kent very possibly destroyed several pair he found, to make the remaining pairs more valuable..

They figured out that there are indeed exactly six pairs after this documentary was made, but the pair missing hasn't been accounted for.
Arabian test pair, originals without bows, the Smothsonian pair, Dorothy's, the Witch's, PLUS a pair that the costumers made completely covered in beads before they figured out it was too heavy for Garland, then they made the final pairs with red sequins.
I wonder who has those, or were they thrown away?
