I have a bullmastiff DDB cross whom I love dearly but he does fit in with other comments, he is stubborn and was hard to socialise.

do yourself a favor and look into the English mastiff. I have owned both the dogue de bordeaux and the bullmastiff and i found that they were both great dogs, but slightly stubborn and dog agressive. The English mastiff is simply the most dignified breed available in every category.

do you find this breed to be protective of u and your family cause i am on the fence about getting a bullmastiff or a dogue de Bordeaux, i love both!!!
