2011 New River Young Marines Polar Bear Plunge, held February 12, 2011 at North Topsail Beach, NC, as a fundraiser for the New River Air Station Young Marines unit. Air Temperature was about 45 degrees and the water temperature in Onslow Bay on the Atlantic Ocean was 54 degrees, but still, pretty cold as you can tell from the reaction of the Young Marines, their leaders, supporters, and several Marine veterans who "took the plunge!"
Crazyyyyy kids!!!!
Haha I'm from Camp Pendleton Young Marines, I wish we had something like that out here!!
