ma boyfriend went to this skool bcuz of behavior issues once his grandmother passed..and omg...its the worst there..they make it look all pretty like everything is all good wen in all reality its like a jail..kids cant walk witoujt a staff..some are in restraints on their wrist n ankles..u have to ask permission to get up..its crazzyyy..that got my boyfriend was discharged from there cuz even i couldnt take it...i dont recommend any child to go there

If this was used for violent inmates in prison, I think there would be room for debate. But for children in a school...it's obviously wrong.

matthew israel, the founder of the school, studied under the founder of behaviorism, b.f. skinner, while at harvard. he took skinners theories a littler too seriously and he created as school with no talk therapy and brutal aversives we don't use in our own judicial system, yet the school remains open after 2 deaths, lawsuits and legal violations. THE JUDGE ROTENBERG CENTER NEEDS TO CLOSE PERMANENTLY.

I think as a law that those types of special schools should only allow students based on severity based on the methods they use which is not the case at jrc. So kids with just deffience and mild aggression are shocked when they don't even need it. This place just punishment way too far of what most people can comprehend!

@intoxicated12gauge I strongly agree! I just can't stand to watch any videos that show the staff pressing the button or the child's reaction. It's too graphic for me. As bad as my behavior issues were in the late 1990s, my parents would never place me there.

As for the parents being charged with child abuse, that is a must cuz JRC even sends the shock device and the remote for it home with the children and the parents. The shock is said to be stronger than most stun guns. NOBODY deserves it!
