why, every time each one of these hosts get into an american car, they have the time of their lives but other times they say that american cars are "rubbish" or "only good for straight lines" i don't get it...

Yeah sure, they love them here in the U.S. on roads equal to any you can drive in Europe. But let them take them home and all they can say is bad things about them. God knows they can't drive them properly and show how good they really are to the home town crowd. It would be bad for ratings I suppose. I drive these mountain roads a lot and have a great time. Pity, they can't be unbiased at home.
