These sounds are so cute! However, she is a very smart street cat, the reason she makes these noises, is because she is probably used to fighting for her food when she is in her clowder, she growls and hisses to ward off others trying to steal food from her. Rice isn't bad for cats, but it certainly holds no nutritional value for them, but if this is all she can get, I am sure she is pleased with it :)

My uncle's cat does this. Although his cat doesn't sound like it is in distress cos it wants food but then it makes that nomnomnom sound which is kinda funny.
