Google "Saigon Execution." It's a real-life event that is . . . quite complicated, to say the least.

This is a famous clip. On the left is General Loan, on the right is an escaped prisoner, captain of a terrorist squad that killed the family of one of his deputy commanders. However when this hit the media, it was seen as savagery and symbolised an unjust war. Due to the media's sugar coated view on this event, Loan's career and life was damaged. Loan fled from South Vietnam and asked the Americans for help where his identity was hidden. you can read more on this it's actually quite interesting.
