Release information

Back in 2006 we met Niels (Dutchican Soul) through a mutual friend. Just when he arrived back in The Netherlands after a two year study Bachelor of Popular Music in Australia, he played us a track called Impress Me that he produced with good friend Joost Dulac and we instantly loved it and decided to sign it. It was Dutchican Soul's very first single release and we still remember the proud faces during the release party while holding the vinyl.
The release caught the attention of the Dutch and international house scene immediately and soon Dutchican Soul signed his music & remixes on a great variety of labels such as Hardsoul Pressings, Panevino Music, Salted Music, Hed Kandi, Hermosa and recently Strictly Rhythm.

For this brand new single, called Ecstacy, Dutchican Soul collaborated with Dutch based vocalist Mavis Acquah, London based rapper JoLeon Davenue, saxophonist Saxy mr. S and pianist Tom Erics.
Mavis Acquah is known for her collaborations with Hardsoul Live, Gregor Salto and Laidback Luke and performs at Holland's most popular venues such as Heineken Music Hall and Paradiso. London based JoLeon Davenue often dives into electro, soul, house and hip hop. He has been putting out his own work and he's getting tons of great reviews on music blogs.

Of course the opening track of this single is the Original Mix. It is a smooth, warm, sexy soulful house cut with a touch of R&B. This mix comes with an Instrumental version as well as a Raps Only mix.

Obviously this record couldn't go without some guest remixes and for this purpose Dutchican Soul has invited Dutch producers Dave Mayer, D-Reflection and Dwight Brown. Dave Mayer's version is an uplifting house mix with a strong funky house vibe, keeping the vocals to a minimum but playfully edited throughout the mix. Dwight Brown's mix is a more uptempo interpretation of the original with a deep bass and an infectious groove. Last but not least is rising Dutch talent D-Reflection who has delivered a great house Dub mix that is full of energy and perfect to drop when the dance floor is warmed up. Dave Mayer has added an edit of this dub mix as well to round the package.
