Raw, cutting rock tones to warmed up funk. The bridge pickup is slightly hotter than a traditional soapbar, and the middle & neck pickups are slightly cleaner. The P-90 bite you'd expect, plus positions 2 and 4 on the 5-way pickup selector deliver classic "quack" but with a thicker tonality and midrange presence. A bird for all seasons. This guitar features resonant korina and solidbody construction with a raised center section on the front. The thicker center mass improves clarity and sustain, while the thinner wings increase resonance for an instrument that is lively, clear and rich in harmonics. Gear used for this recording: Reverend 112 Hellhound amp on US setting, MI Audio Crunch Box for the overdrive parts, close-miced with a Shure SM58 microphone, Audacity recording software. Playing courtesy of Jason Van Doorn.
For it's price it's a great guitar, but I'm sorry to say it wasn't the guitar for me. I found the pu's to be a little to weak compared to fx a Les Paul Junior, but I guess it depends on what you prefer... The contour was very nice though, and it gave the bridge some extra punch. All in all, I think the guitar felt "cheap". Sorry...

ok im thinking about getting a reverend but im trying to decide between a volcano and warhawk, other than the look, are there any differences between these two?

They do make leftys.
about the p90: they are singles, but thicker so they hum a bit at high gain.
I still love reverend's p90's ^^

Thanks, that was great. Same riff, through the PU selector. Perfect demo for what I wanted.
I am looking for a strat like tone with P-90 balls. Awesome.
Looks like I need a Reverend 390. Time to buy the wife some dinner, flowers & furniture, and shopping time. It will be totally worth it!

dude.... look at the body shape again... cutaway is where it should be for a righty. Reverend guitars just invert their tuners.
