Messor barbarus - Queen Serenity - Day 453

So I have connected a bigger box to my formicarium a few weeks ago. Activity there was pretty minimal until everything changed a few days ago. Seemingly attracted to the head of my computer, my ants started to relocate the brood into the connecting tube. This is great, because of the good visibility. I've discovered some new male pupae already.

how many males/young queens do you got?

1 male. Seems like I have to feed them more proteins for new queens. It is really unusual that winged ants are born after just one year.
