This is part 1 of 2, of a video replacing an earlier clip I had uploaded to YouTube, but deleted as I determined it contained an error.

The first two 911 calls responding to the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman altercation can be definitively matched to the start times recorded in the Sanford 911 logs. Both were placed before the gunshot occurs. The other 4 calls (see part 2) were placed after the shot. The probability that I have matched these calls to their correct start times is fairly high, given the clues in the content, but nowhere near "scientific certainty."

Key points:
1. The first call definitively places the time of the gunshot at 7:16:58.
2. The first call establishes that there was at least 45 seconds of screaming before the shot.
3. Many media accounts indicate that police arrived at the site of the shooting at 7:17. Although the Sanford police report states the police arrived at 7:17, this references the fact that the first squad car to arrive, driven by Officer Timothy Smith, entered the complex at 7:17:XX. The second 911 call clearly places Officer Smith on the wrong side of a large building from the actual scene of the shooting as late as 7:18:20.

ANALYSIS
Leaks from the SPD, and statements from the Zimmeman family have presented George Zimmerman's account of events as this: Zimmerman was attacked by Trayvon Martin and knocked to the ground, at which point Martin assumed a superior position over him, holding him to the ground while repeatedly pummeling him with his fists and banging his head against the sidewalk.

This account is inconsistent with the evidence on two points.
1. It is difficult to imagine how Martin could have held a superior position and beaten Zimmerman as described for over 45 seconds without Zimmerman receiving serious injuries.
2. The witness in the fourth call describes the two men as "wrestling" which would be an unlikely word to describe a one-sided beat-down.

Come on Teeslaw. As far as I know, the ONLY timestamped call log publicly available is the one of Zimmerman's call.

If you know of a timed log for the "Jeremy" call (the one with with the gunshot audible), please post a link, or SOMETHING.

If you are basing these times on a single, un-sourced report from Click Orlando, or the Orlando Sentinel, SAY SO, and link the page, or SOMETHING.

I would love to know the exact moment the shot was fired. But someone else's guess is just more misinfo.

The source for the times is a news story on the website of CBS affiliate WKMG. (aka clickorlandodotcom). AFAIK, all other references to these start times on the web stem from the same report. That said, I can think of no motive for WKMG to fabricate them, or even report them based merely on conjecture. Mapping the actual calls against these times shows them to be internally consistent. That is, the different calls describe the same post-gunshot events at roughly the same clock-time.

Thanks for responding, Teeslaw. I Googled the connection times, and (I believe) found the WKMG article.

Is it entitled, "Lawyer: Trayvon Martin's Girlfriend Heard Altercation"? YT won't let me link it.

Is that it? The relevant sentence reads: "Records show Zimmerman's first call to authorities was... followed by seven witness calls at 7:16:11, 7:16:41, 7:17:06, 7:17:15, 7:17:54, 7:18:00 and 7:19:04"

Not saying the report is false. Just need to know if it's the source. Thanks.

Yes, that's the one. I would have linked it if YT allowed links in comments. I'm assuming these times came from from someone at the Sanford Police, perhaps "off the record" in response to a reporter's query, rather than as part of any official press release. Originally, I had to do a lot of digging to find that GZ's call was logged in at 7:09:34. Only Mother Jones had the definitive log, and it was buried in their story.

The Police Rports cleary states that Zimmerman was "bleeding from the nose and the back of the head" and that he had grass all over his back. So much for your detective work. LOL.

ur iq must only habe to be forrest gump level to be a 911 operator. ive listened to several dozen in my life n without fail 100% of the operators ask the same dumb, useless, impertinent, repetitive questions like they r not even listening to the caller

the thing that makes shudder is i think both of them r yelling for help. if u listen closely, someone yells for help exactly 1 second b4 the gunshot. why would gz yell help 1 second b4 pulling the trigger? seems to me gz would be hyperfocused (that 1 second b4 the shot) on drawing thr gun, pointing it n pulling the trigger while amidst a struggle. that last help came from tm bc a 9mm was 3 inches from his chest. chilling

At 0:41 through 0:43 you can hear GZ say "help me" right after Trayvon yells "help". GZ was talking to somebody, I suspect Jeremy, and Trayvon probably thought he was someone unknown to GZ and was calling out to him to help him. In fact I think Trayvon was trying to get to the nearest lighted household to beg for help but they weren't going to help him as you can hear the sounds of help getting louder.

At exactly 41 to 43 seconds if you have earphones and turn it up to max you can hear GZ say help me after Trayvon yells for help.

no head was bashed him because no concussion was in sued that is first, There is a second 911 call of a witness actually seeing GZ on top of TM. lastly neighborhood watch means just that you freaking watch a report back. You do not interject yourself into any situation. Lastly when the altercation became face to face because it did come to that attribute why didnt GZ introduce himself as a NW. he never did and asked TM why are you here. GZ did know that TM was a teenager.
