Often, successfully teaching a baseball skill is a matter of being able to break the skill down to digestible parts and then giving him continuous repetitions until he becomes efficient performing that element of the skill. Then more is added to challenge the player, until the skill is complete. In this example, Coach Mongero is breaking down the "Flip Feed" made by a shortstop to his second baseman. Then you will see the same progression used to execute two of the five DP feeds made by second baseman to his short stop. Book 2 and it's DVD teaches the mechanics of 5 feeds made by both the shortstop and the second baseman and the corresponding pivots both positions use at the advanced level.
