@MegatronYES The only game to catch my attention these days is the new Mortal Kombat. Purer games are better experience on the whole because they deliver what they are designed to and don't distract you with a plethora of visuals. You either get good at the game or you don't beat it. There is not much trial and error in ninja gaiden it's about speed and precision. I got to 4-2 my first time playing the original before I died. You just have to keep moving. Castlevania = more t & e.

@MegatronYES mmm.. we can enjoy new games but its also true that games today are so dumbed down that its almost an insult . yes ninja gayden sigma/black etc are hard but but didnt care about the epic music/cutscnes and drama... again . games today aim to larger audiences giving away development and "uniqueness". edit: sorry for my english :P

The dogmatic nostalgia surrounding the NES Ninja Gaiden installments only cheapens their legacy, and prevents us from appreciating the quality of what is still being made.
