@panfishmaster i catch bass through the ice in WI all winter long. all you have to do is in the summer find deep wood structure and put your tip-ups or dead stick above it with a live minnow or shinner.

I live on a like that is 100% private and in the fall my lake is covered in lily pads. Any suggestions on how to fish that?

ok so i live here in northern alabama its mid summer and i fish on side of the river and im only 13 so i cant afford a boat and no one in my family realy likes to fish but me so i dont go a whole lot but when i do i cant catch anything i have tried and tried if im not fishing im on youtube researching and i have spent all my money on bait i have tried crankbaits spinnerbaits poppers soft plastics everything you could think of and cant figure out why im not catching nothing ...any tips?

@mcclellandalton smaller baits get more bites Try fishing a 3 inch senko and go fishing VERY EARLY in the morning. The bass bite better early or just as it is getting dark in the afternoon. start out catching any bass you can to figure out your fishing place. You can move to bigger lures after to start catching a bunch of bass. Try fishing shade mid-day like under docks or next to tree trunks of downed trees or logs. Look for a used pontoon boat. It is a 1 person row boat! Good luck! Roger

its early fall and my lake is little low wat baits should i be using i dont have a boat but my dock gos out to abouts 10ft wen its low wat do i do
