This cult group namely International Churches of Christ who is rooted from the teachings of A. Campbell and B.W. Stone and was founded lately by Kip McKean believes water baptism is essential for a person to have eternal life. The Bible is clear that water is a symbol and cannot cleanse us but only the blood of Jesus. Due to lack of theological education the leaders of this particular cult group continues to hold on to the unorthodox teachings of baptismal regeneration.

@ByJustified, the New Testament is also clear that this was what the Christians in those days practice. Was there any other baptism that was taught in those days other than water baptism? It is not the water that saves but the blood of Christ, I agree...and baptism is when a person participates in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.
