Sound creator, writer, researcher, distributor, Clinton has been involved in the creation and promotion of experimental and abstract music in Melbourne since the early '90's. His own solo project Undecisive God has over twenty releases on cassette, cdr and mp3, including collaborations with Andrew Kettle, James Smith, Scott Sinclair, Joe Musgrove and Zac Keillor among others. Much of U.God's early work is available on the "Archive" series of cdrs including the mp3 cd "Sound Archive" collaboration. He also has releases of his solo project "Bite The Capsicum", a tribute to the Iron Cheif programme (he told me he dressed up as a cheif for the recordings).
He has performed live, using both his guitar and effects set-up and more recently his turntable set-up at such events as Liquid Architecture, Sabbatical, Maximum Arousal, The Wall Of E, Sticks And Tones, Two Guitar Trios, The Make-It-Up Club, the Melbourne Fringe Festival, Defenders Of The Axe, Newcastle Electrofringe Festival and other dates. He has organised the launch for the "Behind Closed Doors" compilation at the Footscray Community Art Centre and "The Undertow" compilation.

His micro-label Shame File releases and distributes recordings from many Australian new music and experimental sound artists such as Absoluten Calfeutrail, Ernie Althoff, Lloyd Barret, Ross Bolleter, Jim Denley, Robin Fox, Lawrence English, Justice Yeldham, Rainer Linz, Anthony Pateras, Felix Werder, Dave Tonkin, The Feeder, Vocabularinist, The Hi-God People, Y35.3, New Waver, as well as overseas artists such as Warren Burt, Daruin and others. Keen to expose new artists he has uploaded the "Terra Australis Incognita" series of mp3 eps featuring Bokor, W.I.T., The Feeder, r.domain and others.

His interest in the history of experimental and new music, particularly in Australia, has led him to release the "Artifacts" cd compilation, documenting early Austalian experimental music from the 30's to the 70's, probably the first compilation of it's kind. He has also made available online and by cdr the New Music Australia (NMA) compilation cassettes that came with the magazine released in the '80's. He continues his research today.
