Thank you for posting this video. Many years ago I almost got trapped in a similar bubble. I had intended to become a priest but was offered a place at Oxford University to study maths. I asked one of the pastors at my church what I should do and he advised me to take up the university place as I could enter a seminary later. It turned out that he gave me the "wrong" advice as I became an atheist at university. Looking back I sometimes wonder whether he was looking for a way of escaping himself.

Gee, why did you ever leave the faith? *chuckles*

Mr. Tarte, thank you for your videos and ironically enough, you will end up liberating more 'souls' in your life than the priests still in the bubble ever could.

AtheismTV, thank you for your comment. My videos 'Salvation by Faith Alone' and 'God of Confusion' discuss major differences between the Catholic Church and other Christian denominations as well as the Catholic Church's attitude toward other Christian denominations. I am sending you those videos. Other videos of mine, in my Religion: Catholic Church playlist, are relevant also.

What started the disintegration of my faith was a book by a Catholic priest, critical of the Catholic Church. I do not remember the book's title nor the name of its author. I cannot pinpoint a "straw that broke the camel's back".

Excellent video. Suggestion for a topic: can you talk about the differences of belief between catholics versus other popular denominations? And what was the catholic church's views on other denominations?

im curious to know, what caused you to change your mind/open your eyes. What was the straw that broke the camel's back?
