We import oil, even though no one seems to care about it. Denmark and other countries have switched completely to natural gas. Why don't we use a clean fuel until we can switch over to better energies?
Boone Pickens is the biggest producer of natural gas. Hopefully we start getting pro natural gas legislation. What does the future look like for natural gas? The legislation is in place, and it is going to happen. It hasn't been passed as early as we had hoped, but it is in the works.
Even the president is beginning to understand that natural gas is the only resource we have that can compete with diesel. Even ethanol would be better. What we don't want is OPEC oil. The majority of our trade deficit comes from importing oil. Right now it costs $1 billion a day. Eventually oil could go up to $300 or $400 dollars per barrel.
Natural gas stocks have definitely been great performers and have been making their shareholders a lot of money.
