@patrickdcyau David really did have a beautiful voice but I think Mario Lanza just had the edge, I come from hull originaly what a lot of people don't know is that David had a brother called Ernie, believe it or not he was just as good as David but never had the break, When David bought a house just outside Hull he ad gates made that played Cara-Mia, he and Ernie worked delivering cement, Ernie used to sing in the pubs in Hull, they were brought up on Hessle Rd.same as me our mums were friends.

He died too young. Having survived D-Day and then to be taken so suddenly at 54 by a brain hemmorhage is so tragic; but, here is this magnificent voice thanks to the recording sciences. .
