In this tutorial, I explain what ADSR means, and I use one of the built-in synths in Logic to create a toned bass drum sound. This kind of sound is common in hip-hop and electronic music, but this method can also be used to create "drop" sounds in rock music. This method will work on most hardware and soft synths. I specifically recreate a sound similar to the bass sound in "Heartless" by Kanye West.
